somewhere in between.

Lord I come, I confess Bowing here I find my rest Without You I fall apart
You're the one that guides my heart Lord, I need You, oh I need You
Every hour I need You My one defense, my righteousness Oh God, how I need You
Where sin runs deep, Your grace is more
Where grace is found is where You are
And where You are Lord I am free
Holiness is Christ in me
Yes where You are Lord I am free
Holiness is Christ in me
So teach my song to rise to You When temptation comes my way
And when I cannot stand I'll fall on You
Jesus You're my hope and stay
And when I cannot stand I'll fall on You
Jesus You're my hope and stay.

When words seem inadequate, there is Chris Tomlin, and Jesus of course.

Perfection.

Lately, I have found myself in certain moments where I sit back amazed at how the Lord works. Our God is a magnificent orchestrator of our lives. In this past month, which has been characterized by big decisions and heartbreaking news, I have been able to see just how perfect of a plan God has for my life.

Now having that said, I don't mean it in that everything has worked out the way I have wanted it too. The Lord has shut some doors on me, which was rough and sent me down a path of insecurity. But it was that still small voice of the Lord saying "trust me" that gave me hope. I was reminded of Psalm 84:11 which says

"For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless."

I've had to grasp this idea that the Lord will not withhold any good thing from me. So then, why did the Lord shut the door on an opportunity that I believed would grow my relationship with Him?

Trust. It simply comes down to that. I have sat down and thought of a million of possible reasons of why the Lord closed the door. But God just wants us to trust that He has everything under control, not try to figure it out.

I think as humans we have our own idea of what things are "good" for us. But God knows what really is good for us. And sometimes our ideas don't match up with the Lord's.

"And we know that in all things God works together for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28

We have a purpose. God has a plan. He is in control. Praise the Lord.
